![]() So I guess my advice is if the Sun destroys it it's probably worth stashing away until the car starts to appreciate in value and people start restoring and collecting. Difficult parts to produce in the aftermarket like rear ends have been addressed with swap kits from other cars like the 3000gt. The aftermarket has stepped up and taken care of just about every bearing and any other part you can think of because there is still a demand to keep the car still going. Although pretty niche I see searches a good bit from people trying to find little screw covers that broke or an airbag cover that isn't warped. Interior odds and ends that wear from driver/passenger usage. It's inevitable the sun bakes them and they fade or split.Ĥ. ![]() People are paying 400% the price on weather stripping or outside trim pieces now that they have been discontinued and the aftermarket can't/won't address little parts like this. completely unobtainable now unless you get real real lucky and find some old stock someone stashed away.ģ. The MR2 has so many 5 speeds available I wouldn't think it's even close to worth it but a good SMT trans possibly.Ģ. (possibly the only one that isn't relative because of the gobs of owners like myself drag racing launching a 400hp+ car at 6000 rpm with a prepped surface.) The DSM world lots of the cars see 1/4 track time or at least did. I know production #'s are vastly different for the DSM so that is also a factor.ġ. I would think some of this would transfer over to any car that is approaching that mark. ![]() As a long time DSM owner going through it because that car is 30 years old and Mitsubishi discontinued stuff long ago here is the most searched for and hard to find quality parts. ![]()
